
Our approach
To gain strategic insights into the wishes and needs of potential visitors, quantitative research in the form of online questionnaires was used. By opting for a quantitative approach, representative answers and factual substantiation of the results could be obtained. We collected data through a consumer panel. For this research, Dutch consumers who had gone on at least one day trip in the past year and/or who planned to do so in the coming year were surveyed.
The online questionnaire consisted of both closed and open questions. The open questions made it possible to delve deeper into the opinions of the respondents, providing a more detailed and nuanced picture of their preferences and expectations.
Results
The research provided Bakkerij Royal with insight into the considerations and preferences of their potential target group. It also provided insight into visitor intentions in terms of pricing and travel time, and concrete recommendations were made to improve the concept.
A concept and Consumer needs exploration also help convince (co-)financiers when it comes to demonstrating the possibilities and potential of a concept. This was also the case for Bakkerij Royal.
