The studentjourney

Research into the different phases of students: becoming, being, and remaining a student, or terminating the program.
Students face various phases in their student journey: the challenge of choosing a program, starting the program and the first academic year, internships, graduation, and completing the program, but also sometimes dropping out prematurely. It is essential for educational institutions to study and understand students at every stage in order to respond to their wishes and needs.

The student journey is not easy for many students. With the number of educational institutions, the range of courses on offer, and the amount of information available, it can be overwhelming. Understanding the different phases of the student journey is important in order to better tailor the educational offering to the needs of students. Researching this target group is an opportunity to enrich educational experiences, improve study results, increase overall student satisfaction, and prevent dropouts. By exploring and analyzing the student journey, educational institutions can lay the foundation for growth and success, both for students and for the institution itself.

Markteffect is an expert in conducting research across the various phases of the student journey. In close collaboration with educational institutions, Markteffect embraces the challenge of elevating the quality of education through every research project.

Student phases

The student journey includes various studies focused on the orientation and behavior of different groups of students, such as new students coming from secondary education, students with a background in other vocational, higher professional, or university education programs, students who decide to terminate their studies, and students who have completed their studies.
