Gain insight into the experiences of your visitors and target group(s) by means of an experience survey

You often hear people say, "The customer is king." At the same time, it is becoming increasingly challenging to meet visitors' expectations. Visitors don't just want to have a fun day; they are looking for an experience that exceeds their expectations. The overall experience, from atmosphere and service to entertainment and convenience, plays a crucial role in this.

Our specialists use perception research to help you gain insight into this perception. We analyze both the intrinsic and extrinsic perception factors of your target group and translate these into concrete, action-oriented insights. Opinions, associations, and emotions are important aspects in this regard, which have been used for more than fifteen years to optimize the leisure industry.

How does Markteffect conduct an experience survey?

An experience survey can be conducted in various ways, depending on the research question and objectives. For example, the experience can be investigated through on-site research, in which participants are approached immediately after the experience via a quantitative questionnaire on a tablet. This provides direct and structured insights into the experience of the target group.

In addition to physical fieldwork, it is also possible to conduct quantitative online research, whereby the questionnaire is sent out later. Furthermore, a perception survey can be supplemented with qualitative methods, such as in-depth interviews or focus groups, in order to gain a deeper insight into the personal feelings, associations, and perceptions of the target group.

Of course, it is also possible to opt for a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. By combining both methods, you gain a broader and deeper insight into the perception of your target group. Quantitative research provides hard data, while qualitative research provides context and background information on the experience and needs of your target group. We are happy to work with you to determine the right research method, so that the research truly contributes to your objectives.

What makes a Markteffect experience survey unique?

Our Research Experts and Client Consultants think critically from the very beginning. By listening carefully to you, analyzing your question, and only then providing advice, we ensure relevance. That is what really matters. We listen, analyze, and advise, always with an eye for the context of your organization and the dynamics of the leisure sector. We believe it is important to ensure that you can make the right decisions based on the best and most relevant insights. An experience survey therefore goes a step further than an advisory report, enabling you to attract more ambassadors from your target group and/or attract new visitors.

Since January 2024, we have been part of The Relevance Group. The Relevance Group is an international partnership of independent companies with expertise in market research, data science, marketing technology, and artificial intelligence (AI). Thanks to this collaboration, we can provide our clients with even more in-depth insights and give them a 360-degree view.

Finally, we combine our years of experience with insights from previous needs assessments at museums, amusement parks, holiday parks, events, and other leisure organizations. This allows us to know exactly which insights are truly valuable for your organization.

What insights does an experience survey provide?

An experience survey provides valuable insights that help you gain a deep understanding of the experiences, feelings, and expectations of your visitors and other target groups. This is not just about facts, but above all about the emotional and perceptual aspects of the interaction between your attraction, park, event, or facility.

With our expertise and experience, we know better than anyone how you can make the most of these insights. It's all about translating insights into opportunities and strengthening the emotional connection with your target group.
