Markteffect to support this process with an online survey.

BZK stands for good and effective public administration and a government that citizens can rely on. During elections, the Ministry of BZK is therefore busy ensuring that the core values of democracy are upheld.

International online survey

In a recurring collaboration between the ministry and Markteffect, we were asked to provide support in conducting a survey among Dutch citizens living abroad who were registered to vote in the March 2021 parliamentary elections. This will give the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations insight into the wishes and needs of Dutch citizens living abroad regarding the House of Representatives elections, so that future elections can be optimized for this target group.

Due to the target group and the need for quantitative data, it was decided to conduct an online survey. The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations drew up the questions itself, after which we critically reviewed them from a research perspective. The municipality of The Hague sent an invitation email to participate in the survey to more than 80,000 registered Dutch citizens living abroad.
