The price of Bitcoin has been a topic of conversation for years, and almost everyone in the Netherlands is now familiar with this cryptocurrency. But is Bitcoin actually seen as hot air or as a safe haven?
Market research agency Markteffect conducted an extensive study in March into the attitudes, sentiment, and investment behavior surrounding Bitcoin, and the initial results are now available. The findings indicate that nearly 700,000 Dutch citizens currently own Bitcoin (or a portion thereof), and an additional 3.5 million Dutch citizens are considering investing, with almost half of them planning to do so within the next year.
