Face-to-face research

Face-to-face research is an extremely suitable method for quantitative research where the location is important or where little or no data is known about the target group. Examples include neighborhood surveys or perception surveys among event visitors. The interviewers go to the location to find respondents who meet the target group criteria.

“Expanding PSV’s retail network is something that has been on our wish list for a long time, but of course it has to be rationally justified. Markteffect ’s research looks into various target groups, including their motives and reasons, contributes significantly to this. It was great that Markteffect was able to conduct face-to-face research at various locations.”
Arne van Breugel, Manager Merchandising & Licensing PSV Fanstore

Why choose face-to-face research with Markteffect?

When the target group is tied to a specific location, the desired response can be obtained relatively quickly by conducting face-to-face research. Our interviewer can approach a large number of people in a short period of time.

The risk of speeders and straightliners is negligible in face-to-face surveys. Speeders are respondents who complete the questionnaires in an impossible amount of time, and straightliners are respondents who give the same answer to every question. The interviewer can respond immediately to the situation and make adjustments. If respondents have questions, they can ask the interviewer directly. Afterwards, the researcher can immediately conduct a debriefing, where any ambiguities can be discussed directly in order to optimize further research.

Quality of research

Face-to-face research is a specialized field, because respondents must be persuaded on the spot to participate. We use our own fieldwork team for face-to-face surveys. The fieldwork team consists of approximately 75 flexible employees, all of whom have received Field Force training from the MOA trade association. This training ensures that employees have sufficient knowledge in the field of market research and interview skills.

The interviews are usually conducted using a tablet, which makes the data immediately available to our research specialists and allows them to perform statistical analyses.
