Quantitative research

Quantitative research is the right method when you need representative answers and factual evidence. For example, do you want to measure your brand awareness among a representative group of Dutch people? The results of quantitative research are based on hard figures and percentages, which makes it very suitable for monitoring developments.

Quantitative research is a common method in our studies. We have access to an extensive consumer and B2B panel, which gives us many opportunities for comprehensive quantitative research. Of course, there is always the option of using your own database in the research. We believe it is important that you can make the right choices based on the best and most relevant insights, which is why we are happy to help you with your issue. We believe in the importance of a strong relationship with our customers, and together we want to achieve results that really make an impact!

Why quantitative research at Markteffect?

Quantitative research is basically carried out in three steps. First, the questionnaire is drawn up in consultation with you. This forms the input for the fieldwork, during which our researchers collect answers to all the questions. Next, all the answers are analyzed and presented to you in a report.

1. The questionnaire

In order to make quantitative statements, we use a questionnaire that has been drawn up in advance together with you. This is often a combination of closed and open questions, with the open questions providing additional qualitative insights. The questionnaire is always agreed with you in advance on the basis of a kick-off meeting.

In some cases, it is important to gain a clearer and more precise understanding of a number of the questionnaire's starting points in advance. To gain this clarity, qualitative research is carried out in advance to provide additional insights.

2. Fieldwork

Quantitative research often involves surveying large numbers of respondents. Our specialists will recruit the right respondents for you. It is also possible to survey respondents from your own database, such as customers or employees.

We mainly conduct our researchonline, but it can also be doneby telephone, in writing, or face-to-face.

3. The analyses and reporting

The data from the quantitative research is analyzed by our research specialists using statistical research software. We then report the results in a clear report. This report is based on your reason for conducting the research and the ultimate objective of the research, enabling us to provide concrete advice.

Qualitative research as part of quantitative research

In addition to quantitative research, qualitative research can be used in the preliminary or follow-up phase. Prior to the research, qualitative research helps to clarify the research question and formulate the answer options for a questionnaire. After the research, qualitative research helps to find an explanation for quantitative results or to explore areas for improvement in more depth.

Digitizing written surveys

Our fieldwork team consists of specialized employees who are primarily involved in data entry. Data entry involves digitally processing paper surveys in the research software. This software can be used to perform accurate (statistical) analyses.

When large quantities of surveys are involved, a special scanner can be used to read the answers and automatically save them in the database.
