Insight into the effectiveness of advertising brochures through a brochure survey

Advertising flyers inform consumers about special offers, encourage them to take action, and often determine what goes on their shopping list. But how effective are your flyers? Do consumers go to the store? And do they make a purchase? With our many years of experience, our flyer research offers in-depth and continuous insight into the impact of your flyers on consumer behavior and store traffic.

The Dutch love advertising brochures. The figures from Het Markteffect Folderonderzoek 2024 (The Market Effect Large Brochure Survey 2024) speak for themselves: 87% of readers take action as a result of the brochure, and for no less than 51% of readers, the brochure largely determines their shopping list. This shows how great the influence of brochures is on consumers' purchasing behavior.

How is a brochure survey conducted?

The brochure survey takes place at two crucial measurement moments. First, we investigate whether consumers intend to visit a store or purchase a product based on the brochure. A week later, we investigate whether this intention has actually led to store traffic and purchases. This gives you a complete picture of both the intention and the final conversion.

The brochure survey is usually conducted using quantitative research, in which we use online questionnaires. In some cases, qualitative research can be used to gain deeper insight into the motivations and perceptions of consumers.

Of course, it is also possible to opt for a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. By combining both methods, you gain a deeper insight into the opinions and needs of your target group. Quantitative research provides hard data, while qualitative research provides context.
